Common Ventures' big idea for Salmat wins

In early 2014 we created a site for Salmat – Australia’s letterbox media know-it-alls. Today, we’re pleased to announce that our site has won Web Marketing Association’s WebAward for Most Outstanding site in two categories: Design and B2B.

Bored with the usual Power Point presentations that circulated agencies, we wanted to give Salmat’s sales deck a facelift and challenge the adland perception that letterboxes are home only to soggy catalogues and late Christmas cards.

So we asked advertisers – How Big Is Your Big Idea?

We created a fully responsive parallax site designed to re-introduce letterbox media as a creative tool capable of delivering big agency thinking. 

By following Salmat’s iconic pink letterbox, advertisers were inspired by examples of big ideas telling brand stories and shown how freakily targeted letterbox drops could be (take that TVCs).
