Filler ads are those boring spaces in newspapers with messages like ‘your ad could be here’. But we looked at them differently, and saw an opportunity to unify these forgotten ad spaces and allow News Corp – Australia’s no.1 media company – to generate and track new advertising leads.

So we created Go Big or Go Local. A useful digital platform for small businesses looking to reach new audiences. The tool reacts to the industries and locations entered by automatically loading their relevant statistics, while positioning News Corp as the local experts who know neighbourhoods better than their oldest living resident.

 For the first time, boring filler ads were unified in their design and transformed into attractive creative any advertiser would love to be seen with. Most importantly, we changed the way businesses viewed News Corp – from newspaper filler ads to experts in fully integrated advertising.
